You ask the BJP MLAs who did the turnaround for them in the last one week before the Vidhan Sabha polls, the answer would be “RSS. The RSS is country’s biggest voluntary force and the dedicated army has over 20 lakh volunteers and according to an estimate, the number in Rajasthan alone is close to 1.50 lakh.
Last year, which was the year of election, the state unit of the RSS held a mega convergence, Rashtra Shakti Sangam, which had one silent agenda to bring the BJP back to power and over 65,000 volunteers from across the state took part in the display of khaki, white shirt and black topi power.
The RSS, after the BJP’s comeback, is a rejuvenated unit and the same force will put all its efforts in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections to see that NDA comes back to power. If the BJP has coined the phrase “Target 25, it’s because of the backing of the RSS which would not leave no stone unturned to see that the target, however difficult, is achieved.
The Congress has a meek army of Sewa Dal, which neither matches the RSS in number nor in objectives. The Congress blames the government employees for rigging and casting large number of bogus votes just to ensure the Congress’ defeat. The question is what were the Congress polling agents doing? If the employees had played the same trick with the BJP, the RSS volunteers would have beaten such employees to pulp. That goes for the dedication and spirit of the RSS volunteers.
The holding of the All-India Pratinidhi Sabha by the RSS at Jaipur’s Keshav Vidyapeeth in Jamdoli was an event, which the RSS volunteers from across the state watched with great interest. In this meet, all the top functionaries of the RSS were present. The RSS is an organisation, which works with a different psyche. It has its representatives in the BJP and the RSS now proudly says that its swayamsewaks are writing new history for India. The RSS gives hope to the people by saying that its swayamsewaks have given the country Atal and Advani. Once it was Gandhiji, who through his ideology attracted the whole lot of country’s youths to join the freedom movement and now RSS has given the message that from the swayamsewaks, Atals and Adavanis are made.
In the state, a liberal like Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who boasted that he propagates the BJP theory and not the RSS doctrine was so awed by the power of the RSS that he got a khaki short stitched overnight to enable him turn up in “uniform for the RSS rally, a few years ago at Jaipur when he was the chief minister. During the Pratinidhi Sabha, the governor Madan lal Khurana and the chief minister Vasundhara Raje and BJP president Venkaiah Naidu had to go to Jamdoli to touch the feet of the RSS leaders. Khurana forgot his constitutional duties to drive down to Jamdoli, caring least about the criticism of the Congress, which accused him of indulging in politics.
Kanhaiya Lal Chaturvedi, the media chief during the Pratinidhi Sabha said that the enthusiasm of the volunteers had been overwhelming for the past six months. Chaturvedi said, “the holding of the Pratinidhi Sabha in Jaipur had a lasting impact on the volunteers of the state. They never felt so good.
The Pratinidhi Sabha sent a message that the ‘feel good’ factor was not a hoax, but India was truly shinning. RSS Sahsarkaryavah Madan Das Devi had said that the RSS will not ask its volunteers to support or campaign for any party and the swayamsewaks were free to choose their own line of thinking.
The BJP and its force is all set to repeat the Vidhan Sabha act in the Lok Sabha election. Do you have any answer, Congress?
